Verdict: 4.2 Stars.
The simplicity of the movie is its own beauty. It doesn't aspire for great acting or an oscar story. It simply gives you what you came for: man vs. alien- hunter vs. hunter. And it is seldom for a harbinger of a franchise to fully capture the genre's perfect blend for a climax of pure entertainment, fully enjoyable without a need for a brain. And the latter sequels failed to reach and reinvent the original's thrills. And with that full awareness and acceptance, it has stayed true to its essence.
