Review of Predator (1987) by Armando L — 06 May 2015
Predator is one of those rare movies that very successfully blends multiple genres--horror, suspense, sci-fi and action. The script is tight. Every line furthers the story or gives you just enough insight about the characters for you to give a damn and continue the suspension of reality.
There are no wasted scenes, no cheesy comic reliefs (all too common in movies these days) and the special effects still hold their own even compared to today. The screen play formula is followed to the T, and it works beautifully.
