Review of Predator (1987) by Mate M — 12 May 2013
Predator, a surprisingly iconic film, was a good enough movie for what it could have been. The film was well done in most parts, mostly the battle scenes. The ending battle scene between Swartz-inator and the Predator was definitely the best part of the movie! The acting wasn't the best since the crew thought this movie wouldn't be as famous as it did become.
The movie could have used a little less gore in the few gory scenes they had. The story was OK. The real thing that made the movie iconic was the Predator himself, as the Predator is without a doubt one freakishly bad mama! It was like watching a bad horror movie, but they did a surprisingly good job on it, and when I look back and think of the movie, I almost laugh at what I'm sure the movie could've been with a different cast and crew: a bad low-grossing cheese-fest.
But I liked Predator. It doesn't have a lot of replay value, but it's a good movie to watch if you just want to.
