Review of Predator (1987) by Robert H — 23 Aug 2013
John McTiernan's 1987 horror/action flick Predator is a pretty cool action movie despite some flaws. Some plot elements and action sequences in this movie feel very familiar to others, such as Alien.
Despite this problem, Predator delivers some awesome action scenes and terrific suspense. One of the things that really made me really like the movie is Arnold Schwarzenegger, he gives us one impressive performance as 'Dutch'.
Another thing that this movie does right is the suspense, throughout the entire movie the viewer only gets glimpses of the creature attacking the group. We only get to see the damage the creature causes and because of this the viewer is on the edge of the seat until the very end of the climax.
Sure the movie isn't perfect but there is enough stuff here to keep you entertained from start to finish.
