Review of Predator (1987) by Alex G — 13 Sep 2018
As Bullwhip describes it, "Alien by way of Hogan's Heroes." What could easily have been the length of a television show is an expanded story of the Gi Joe stereotypes thrown from an everyday rescue mission plot into an over the top survival story.
It has some really fun lines and hilarious dynamics, but there really isn't much under the surface. Without caring about these characters, the movie seems to drag and repeat the same scenarios till the final big bad fight.
showdown. It's fun, but is never more than what it sets out to be.
