Precious is an all around good movie. The majority of the plot is based on true events. The acting sells the plot and really makes this movie better than average. There is a good cast that really conveys and brings to life the whole abuse situations and struggles of precious.
The film is emotionally gripping and powerful. There are definitely aspects of the film that could have been better yet its power to evoke emotion upon you and suck you into the story earns this film its 4 stars.
