Feel good movie of the year! No, not really, but it is an excellent film. I watched with high expectations as it won at Sundance & TIFF...but it lived up to it. It's a heavy film, but the story is well told and the performances are outstanding.
I think Mo'Nique is a lock for Supporting Actress and the lead Gabourey will likely get a nomination. Worth checking out, but have to be in the right mood.
