Review of Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009) by Jesus H — 26 May 2012

A very touching film that is difficult to watch during some scenes, yet it's such a bold film with some fine acting performances, especially from both Gabby & Mo'Nique. It follows young Precious and her struggle growing up with abusive parents, and we watch her life turn around when she is enrolled in an alternative school that helps her get back on her feet.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this film and I think it sets a solid message for those watching it, and definitley one not to be missed.
