It's powerful one second, then goofy as hell the next. Tonally confusing, over stylized, and a little racist. But the performances are just phenomenal. Sidibe? Mo'Nique? Both should have won the Oscar.
I'm glad Mo did. The rest of the film is a little too over dramatic.
