Oh, wow. What a performance by Sidibe (Precious) and Mo'Nique (Mary)! They had me balling like a baby. The success of this movie is very much hinged on their gripping performances since the pacing and connectivity between scenes is awkward.
Some parts move very quickly while others lag. A huge curve ball is thrown into the mix at the end and then just sits there without any kind of further exploration. It would have worked potentially, if it had been introduced sooner into the story.
