I knew this movie would hit a powerful chord with me. Its subject matter is relatable to my experience on a level that very few people who know me are aware of.
Sigourney Weaver is one of the best actresses of our times and delivers an emotional and heart wrenching performance. Its literally a pleasure to watch her transformation in this movie. A transformation that many of us can learn from.
In a world filled with iron clad hatred and prejudice that seems unwavering and immovable, this movie and the story that it is based upon, reveal to us that in the end, love does abide and transcend all.
The story itself is tragic. But upon the tears of tragedy, only love and true faith can conquer the hatred and fear that binds the hearts and minds of the human race.
