Review of Prayers for Bobby (2009) by Kevin Val B — 22 Jan 2011
As expected, this has annoying TV movie melodramatic tendencies, but no one can deny that Sigourney Weaver hit this role out of the park. She was absolutely heartbreaking in her role as a confused mother grieving the death of her son and seeking some understanding of why it happened.
I think it's great that this story was told. It's a beautiful testament to the power of tolerance - a message that is all the more important in this day and age. Suffice to say this had me bawling like a little girl by the end credits.
