Review of Prague (2006) by Sue B — 14 Nov 2007
Let's face it - the basic subject matter (the death of a marriage, a trip to collect the remains of a long-lost father) is downright depressing. But for all the heartache (and there's a lot), this is a greatly touching, masterfully acted and beautifully shot adult drama.
Mikkelsen and Stengade are a formidable double act and the scene in which they very publicly self-destruct is pretty unforgettable. There are two things in particular that Mads can do very well - one is being drunk, the other is crying, and when the two are combined - pure, heartsnapping gold.
