Review of Practical Magic (1998) by Amit B — 14 Jun 2009

This is a pretty confused movie. It's not sure if it wants to be a romantic comedy or a fantasy/horror movie. The characters seemed very one dimensional and the tone of the movie was pretty mundane.

They should have tried to focus more - perhaps on the magic, or the romance - but to do both effectively, it seemed all over the place with no clear direction. It began with perhaps barely some potential for promise, but failed very quickly thereafter.

I did enjoy watching Nicole roll on the floor, though. She does the rolling thing quite well in most movies I have to admit.
