Review of Practical Magic (1998) by Alexandra W — 11 Aug 2012
I wonder if Stockard Channing knows that she's in two of the three '90s-est girl power movies ever made--this one and The First Wives Club (but she misses out on the third which is Spice World).
Oh man, this movie. So much is going on in it, and a lot of it is entertaining, especially how Nicole Kidman spends the whole movie looking (and kind of acting) like Gabrielle from Xena. In fact, now that I think about it, the whole thing is like a long, chakram-less Xena, all girl bonding and nonsensical mythology and awful '90s hair and clothes.
Overall, it's never boring, but it also doesn't deserve additional viewings.
