Review of Practical Magic (1998) by Kate H — 14 Jan 2010
This movie is an adaptation of a book written by Alice Hoffman. It's literary roots are evident and carried out throughout the movie. Do not see this movie if you are not educated in literary device, and able to appreciate an adaptation of a movie that displays the dichotomy of human elements of good vs.
evil, and the dance that the intertwining of the two carry out within the self, and in inter-generational relationships. The whimsy that flows through the storyline is an added plus.
