Review of Practical Magic (1998) by Muffin M — 05 Sep 2011
Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian (Nicole Kidman) are sisters with a bewitching gift. Unfortunately their gift also comes with a dark family curse: any man who falls in love with them meets a horrible end. To say they're unlucky in love would be an understatement. But when Sally meets the mortal man of her dreams, she has one final chance to lift the curse and set their love lives free. With the help of their eccentric, meddling aunts (Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing), the sexy sibilings take on the dark side and conjure up all manners of mischief, mayhem and malevolence.
Also stars Aidan Quinn, Goran Visnjc, Evan Rachel Wood, Alexandra Strip and Mark Feuerstein.
Directed by Griffin Dunne.
