Review of Postman (1995) by Charles H — 14 Oct 2011
This film isn't as terrible as I had heard. It's got some interesting ideas and some some good set pieces. I actually enjoyed it quite a lot, which surprised me. The little girl breaking into song as Costner rides out of town was pretty gaylord, though. I like the part where the guy burns the flag and says, "the United States doesn't exist! That flag is an abomination!".
The trouble with this film is that it is really long. Really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really long. It would have been better as a TV series, I think.
