Review of Postman (1995) by Steve H — 28 Nov 2008
David Brin's novel is filled with inspiration and hope, and is painted with such rich detail that you live the words. Costner's film retains fragments of the source material, and there is enough here to take away many of the same inspirational feelings, themes, and plot points, but this version hacks up enough of the books plot points to leave the viewer confused about the main message.
The acting is marginal at best, but any movie that makes Ringo Starr president is okay by me.
