Review of Postcards from the Edge (1990) by Chris W — 26 Mar 2009
Witty, insightful and at times pretty moving,Carrie Fisher's biographical screenplay is not as good as the book, and is maybe a little too savvy to be ultimatley as moving as it ought to be, but with two actresses as good as Strep and Maclaine, you really can't argue with the presentation.
Nichols' direction is as good and workmnlike as always.
