Review of Postal (2007) by Brendan O — 28 Oct 2008
Postal Review.
[indent][indent][indent] This weekend I watched Uwe Boll's (Nominated as the worst director ever) Postal. Loosely based off a video game by the same name, this movie delivers unlike any other film he has EVER made. Zack Waed plays the "Postal Dude" a man in a small town of paradise where everyone has a AK47, Hand Cannon or some form of heavy firepower, this movie opens with a tasteless view of 9/11,however, as horrible as it sounds, it was overall funny, one of those things you try to hide from laughing but you cant.
From this it has a crazy storyling of testicle dolls, avian flu, nuclear warheads, trashy women, and a psychopathic cult. This movie will no doubt upset, apaul or offend others, but, many need to understand it's all in good fun, jokes may get tiring after awhile, it may be a tad long, but this is a fun, stupid comedy that many will hate, however it's audience will preseve it with applause, I recomend it to anyone who liked the game (I have played it, like the movie it sturred up the same controversy as the film.)In this case, Uwe Boll takes his first win in this case but I doubt I'll expect such a great yet flawed movie as this in his future, however I've heard he's planning to do an upcoming drama...wow? Anyways I give it a B.
