Review of Postal (2007) by Alan G — 20 May 2009
Not nearly as horrible as I had predicted, but still far from good. Not to mention, it was nowhere near as "offensive" as I thought it was going to be. Yes, it involves Islamic terrorists as well as a scene involving a plane crashing into a building, but in the context of the film, they were really nothing more than off-color political jokes. And while I chuckled in a few places (The coffee shop yelling scene in particular), the movie very rarely rose above sophomoric fart and sex jokes.
Even if you just want to see the film for it's "shock value" that was so hyped about, you're probably better off not wasting your time. You'll probably be disappointed on that level as well.
