Cute, chick flick but simple and safe. The family were highly entertaining and funny inplaces. As a graduate myself if found many of the situations and feelings Ryden faced close to home making it more enjoyable.
Side stories dont seem to connect such as dad taken in prison for a night and the box derby. Was excited to see Bledel after Gilmore Girls but it was not a big enough leap for her and seemed all to familiar.
Fun and simple.
