Review of Poseidon (2006) by Maineutral R — 16 Jun 2013
A lover of the 70's original, complete with Gene Hackman in a sweaty pitted turtleneck, I watched this with interest despite expecting a horrible outing. As far as disaster films go, it wasn't too bad, trading in on every cliché possible, which is hard not to when you have Kurt Russell playing the ex-Mayor of NYC who used to be a fireman, has a estranged relationship with her daughter and dislikes her new fiancé.
..it's essentially Armageddon on a sinking boat. But I kinda liked Armaggedon.
