Review of Poseidon (2006) by Tommy B — 28 Jan 2013
A select few scenes are thrilling, and the cinematography is fantastic, yet Poseidon falls short with its predictability, at-times laughable acting and clunky script. Yet a fair amount of the special effects still holds up today - although this is no mean feat, given the likes of The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and The Perfect Storm (2000) still dazzle more than this 2006 flick.
From Wolgang Petersen, the director of such a masterpiece as Troy, you expect more.
