Review of Poseidon (2006) by Jc E — 29 Aug 2013
Spectacular special effects and realistic imageries were very convincing about the horrors of being trapped in a capsized gigantic cruise ship. If one was skeptical about Costa Concordia wasn't a rescue fiasco and thought the 30 drowned victims should have survived then this film certainly captured the difficulty of anyone surviving a sinking giant cruise ship with its many jaw dropping death trap scenes.
Not one, or two but four gallant heroes in the likes of Josh Lucas, Richard Dreyfuss, young beardless Mike Vogel and last and best of all, the likeable Kurt Russell. He died drowning while turning off the propeller to save the small surviving group.
Of which 3 heroes were in that group. If Titanic hasn't discouraged us from taking cruise holidays, this one will do it for sure.
