Review of Poseidon (2006) by Alan J — 23 Oct 2009
Even though its a B-class acting ensemble with a predictable, cliche- driven script, what keeps this movie afloat is the special efx and the life and death situations thrust upon the characters. The movie has plenty of tension and fireworks underwater, and does hold the viewer's attention throughout.
The film does have a rather pedestrian script, but its glossy look and terrific realism raises this film above standard fare.
