Review of Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) by Dawdlingpoet — 20 Nov 2021
This is quite a brooding film, with many scenes featuring little in the way of dialogue - it's often what's not said but conveyed visually that counts. It's pretty atmospheric and I liked the cinematography, with shots of the nearby cliffs and beach just 2 examples.
A solid period drama, I'd recommend this, yes.
