Review of Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) by Rgiv — 12 Jun 2020
After seeing Parasite and The Irishman, I did not expect any film to eclipse them in the year but then Celine Sciamma came along with Portrait of a Lady on Fire. It’s a bold, tender and beautiful film about female relationships and female artistry.
The best of the year and one of the best of the decade.
