Review of Porky's II: The Next Day (1983) by Private U — 08 Mar 2008
Not as crude as the orginal, but in many ways just as funny.
In this sequel you see the nuditry level plummet, and the social commentary skyrocket. Very astute observations about 50s racism and the censorship battle with the fundamental faction of America that still exists today.
Who can forget Graveyard Gloria ... Additionally, the woogey woogey woogey zombie is outright hilarious.
All in all, a decent little comedy that might lag at times, but keeps things relatively fresh with a likeable cast of characters.
Despite Porky's name being in the title - this film sees no trips to his business establishment.
