I've always enjoyed Andy Samberg's video shorts on Saturday Night Live and was really looking forward to this movie Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. However, I didn't find it all that funny.

There are a ton of pop culture references, and I'm sure I missed a few, but I felt Samberg always went for the easy joke and never pushed the envelope. You know where this movie is going the entire time and it has some fun in getting there, but unlike the father of all rockumentary's This Is Spinal Tap, the jokes here lead to chuckles and not belly laughs.

I'm surprised this has gotten as positive of reviews as it has, maybe I'm the one missing something, but I doubt it.
