Review of Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016) by Leonard E — 09 Jun 2016
After a long hiatus, The Lonely Island is back! This movie is basically 'Dewey Cox' for pop music. It even features Tim Meadows in *exactly the same* role he had in that movie. And while I think Dewey Cox may have been a funnier movie, these guys take on the modern fame and music culture and don't pull punches.
They kill you with truth - it's such a silly and self-obsessed industry. Watch closely for the almost-unrecognizable Weird Al cameo. Grade B.
