Had few parts that were worthy of a snicker but overall Popstar was too stupid for me to find it enjoyable. I suppose the humor didn't connect with me and the story certainly didn't. Cut away the jokes and it is a very conventional plot, you will be able to to guess everything that happens beforehand.

I suppose some will say that this doesn't matter with what Popstar is but I would like to have an interesting film on screen character and plotwise as well as having jokes that land. Which for me even that wasn't accomplished that well.
