Review of Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping (2016) by Sarah J — 16 May 2016

I like these weird guys! No, their comedy isn't for everybody. But, respect that they follow their own freakiness! Some people need to know that the group are still learning the trade and their improving as they experience and do more projects.

I loved the movie! Fans of the group will definitely love this! Sure its kinda "late" to release a popstar documentary type of movie in recent years of comic and star wars movies releases, but it's the best genre of movie that fits exactly to the group who are famous for their comedy frap.

Also, most projects they do have references, tributes or whatever that most people might not get and some gets lost in translation and it just seems weird, confusing and not funny. Unfortunate when aiming for popularity or more views amongst the general viewers, for sure, but that's one of the reason what makes the lonely island great. In this movie, however, they made it more relatable to general viewers but also maintained their originality. There are some references here in the movie I hope people got.

Considering that Andy Samberg did not go to theatre school or whatever, his performance in this movie was good!

For me, it was a great movie!
