Red flags all over the field - no mention of the Pope's vies on abortion, atheists can stay aetheists and somehow be saved, used phrases mother earth Fanaticism is bad unless its fanaticism about the Pope?
The gospel not clear enough. The physical poverty emphasized over the greater problem of spiritual poverty in the movie. Jesus said Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness.
The ending was surprisingly more about all religions staying the same in a great diversity some how worshipping the same God Conspicuous absence of protestants except when the pope reads a poem at the end by Sir Thomas Moore who persecuted protestants.
