Review of Poolhall Junkies (2002) by Drew B — 08 Aug 2007
Great writing, decent acting - but the thing that makes this film worth the watch is the fact that Mars Callahan wrote, directed and starred. He may have a few lines that gave away his inexperience as an actor, but there was heart in it.
There was heart in the writing, and you really can feel when the director has a passion for the film he's directing. Granted it's no rocky or braveheart, but the heart is still there. Hands together for a young screenwriter who made his dream a reality.
