Review of Pooh's Heffalump Movie (2005) by Mark R — 27 Jun 2005
As a kid, I was a big Pooh fan(lol) and "Pooh's Heffalump Movie" gives memories of my childhood days that were long forgotten. The new character, Lumpy, is too cute for words and I thought that Lumpy owned the film, that it even outran the rest of the Pooh gang. As a barely-length feature film, what more could you ask for? It's short, sweet, and gives moral lesson indeed!
With so much sub-plots and rather very slow pacing, "A Love Song For Bobby Long" seems longer than it seems. It depicted so much of the Southern's eccentricity that it stiffles you especially when the cliches keep banging here and there. In my hindsight, they could've re-desgin the movie more simpler, yet juicy since the plot came off long and that made the movie lost its charm. It is so predictable too. But there is something really great hidden in this film, maybe my favorite director Cameron Crowe might've pulled it off! Above all, the movie is just tiring to watch.
----gosh summer is kinda boring. I got nothing to do. I might as well get a job at starbucks or something.
