Review of Ponyo (2008) by Tonyl — 17 Aug 2009
Of all the Miyazaki films that I have seen, this was the least interesting. I did not get a sense of wonder and awe that I had seen in his previous films. Ponyo did not do anything special that made me want to care about her.
The mother character was terrible. Maybe it is time for Mr. Miyazaki to quit while he is ahead.
