Review of Pontypool (2009) by Cameron M — 02 Jun 2009
I was enjoying this movie at first even tho nothing was actually being shown, it made you imagine what was actually going on in that town. But the source of the infection the Doctor came up with was a bit of a let down. Maybe I just don't understand the concept of it, a stuttering/stuck on a word virus that makes the infected attack... and its only the english language... I don't know.
It wasn't horrible, but I don't understand the concept. Oh and liking it because its not a typical 'Zombie' movie, it shouldn't be called a zombie movie because the infected are not zombies. They are still very much alive until the virus can't find another host then puke and die. But that scene was done well. I am glad this wasn't done as a typical Hollywood 'Zombie' movie where the solution is to just shoot everyone. It was a good attempt at trying to be original but you shouldn't like it for being different when it doesn't work.
