Pontypool probably the weirdest zombie film I've ever seen. It has some freaky moments but the twist (even more unusual than The Happening) is so "out there" that it's hard to not to second guess what you are seeing.
It's worth seeing if you love subtle horror but you'll have to keep an open mind.
