Review of Pontypool (2009) by Chris C — 11 Sep 2011
Stephen McHattie's voice alone is enough to watch this film. His golden pipes are sheer honey to the ears. The increasing tension almost becomes unbearable by the end. The dialogue is fantastic and the movie just looks great too.
More of a thinking man's zombie flick with no zombies until the last 1/3 which is fine really. The call-ins and radio reports help the mind paint a vivid and horrific picture. If you haven't used your imagination or brain in a movie for awhile or ever then just skip this.
The thought might give you an aneurysm. Great movie.
