Review of Pontypool (2009) by Eric S — 30 Mar 2012
This movie was possibly too intelligent for me, because alot of the euphemism used during the dialogue went over my head. It is a witty apocalyptic infection movie, that is built in the mold of "Night of the living Dead".
The movie uses suspense very well, making you feel claustaphobic confined in the broadcast building with the movies subjects, and then becomes a lesson of some sort as you learn the nature of the plague and the story builds to its final climax.
If you like the infected/zombie scenario I would recommend this as an odd inclusion into the genre, and something that is truly unique, unfortunately I couldnt understand how or why it is different, perhaps on a second viewing I will appreciate it more.
