Review of Polyester (1981) by Craig G — 06 Nov 2007
This is Edith Massey's best performance I've seen. Every line reading is awkwardly hilarious. There's quite a huge buildup of horrible stuff that happens to Divine's character, and her reactions are terrific.
It's probably his best acting as well, but I like it more in earlier films where Divine was the one aggravating everyone else. Worth seeing, but not my favorite.
