Review of Polyester (1981) by Marcus G — 28 Jan 2008
Better cinematography than Pink Flamingos, but the same style. John Waters remains one of my two favorite directors, and he always will be. This movie has it's flaws, like somewhat overacting, but it's the style it was made for.
It's original, unique, and he scene with the christian woman hijacking a bus was by far one of the best ideas of cinema in the last 30 years, even though it was less than 3 minutes long.
