Review of Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986) by Lora R — 07 Aug 2012
The sequel is nothing like the first Poltergeist, because the story is lame and lacks creativity. Only the visual effects are good, but even there you have a few crappy looking effects.
Craig T. Nelson played the possessed Steve really well. I also loved Julain Beck as the creepy old Rev. Henry Kane. They don't really explain why he wants Carol Anne though. They also didn't explain what happened to their eldest daughter, which is odd.
The scene where Steve vomits the 'worm' was awesome and so disgusting and how the creature turned in to a deformed, slimy skeleton was cool.
The story sucked and even the visual effects couldn't save this movie, because it felt like it was just made quickly to make some cash.
