I enjoyed it. It was a fun ride with a damn good acting cast. Really its a horror movie for kids just like the original one is. There are things done differently which you'll miss from the original but really I think they're pretty much on par with each other.
Anyone who says differently is either nostalgic or saw the original when they were young and cowardly haha!
