While I am a huge fan of the original (my very first favorite movie of my life), I understand that you can never compare a Spielberg movie to a non-Spielberg remake. That being said, this still is a great movie.
It is a shame that it was marketed poorly and that other fans of the original seem to be so dead set on comparing it to the original. I will certainly be buying it on BR.
