This was easily the worst "remake" I have ever seen. A dumbed down, bastardized regurgitation of the original, much more classic 1982 Poltergeist. It is obvious that Steven Spielberg never made it to that set.
This one badly needed a puppet director and screenwriter. The studio could have given the job to film school students and it would've been better than this pile of steaming dog shit...
