Review of Pollock (2000) by Mikael K — 04 Aug 2009
I guess this is more a film for people who are interested in art and jackson pollock in particular. although I am not a great fan of art and although I didn't know that much about pollock (i do like some of his pieces of art though) I really did enjoy this movie.
It pictures the greatness and the pitfalls of jackson pollock, the latter consisting especially in his alchoholism. through (almost) all of this his wife helps him with an adoration and a devotion that seems unbelievable, since she is a painter herself - just not as successful.
Ed harris plays to prove that he is one really good actor, for I cannot imagine playing someone as 'crazy' as jackson pollock must not be easy. through all of this, harden delivers a good supporting actress. for some reason I cannont really define I did like the score of the movie as well. it seemed to fit the scenes really nicely.
