Review of Polisse (2011) by Iana D — 25 Oct 2011
Flixster has a really stupid introduction to this film....The story is mainly about the daily realities of a special Paris-based police brigade dealing with childhood protection issues . Welcome ot the world of child abuse.
Love stories in the team are of course included but a side show. The fiilm -a fictionalised documentary - offers both a very crude and endearing portrait of French society and the French police. One is served with the tale in police stations of all manners of imaginable evils done to children - one asks if it was at all necessary to have them packed into one film.
.. Yet after all we are in the country of the Marquis de Sade.... It's tough, but definitely worth it.
